Default Should Imus be Fired ?

Imus made an intemperate remark about a very sensitive group and will
suffer much as that former writer for that hunting magazine did. I
forget his name, but the guy was a long established really classy
writer who stated the obvious about assault rifles. They were bad for
the image of the real hunter. The trained dogs from the NRA proceeded
to do their work and the magazine could see advertisers pulling back
so they axed him.

Sorry, you are very uninformed. The NRA had nothing to do with sponsers
pulling support for Zumbo. In fact the NRA was one of his sponsers. Only
till after the others expressed their dissappointment did the NRA cut ties
with him. Calling them "terrorist rifles" is what did him in.

Obvious about assault rifles? Do you have any idea what you're talking
about? You do realize Zumbo had a change of heard on the so-called "black
rifles". And that they operate EXACTLY the same way an Remington 1100 or
7400 work. And in fact they ARE used quite frequently for varmint hunting.

I do feel sorry for the hunting writer. I wonder if an exit like this
will make Imus an attractive commodity for satellite radio.

Free speech is a great thing. But it does come with consequences. As Zumbo
and Imus are finding out. Hopefully Rosie will as well.

I do indeed. And the image of Joe-sixpack and his assault rifle
collection is something that the hunters can do without. I believe he
alluded to the image problem in his comments.

Yes, very well said Brenda.

No they shouldn't fire him. Let his listerners decide. if they stop
listening then he will go away by himself. I have a feeling that his
listenership doesn't really care.

I wonder what his actions towards minorities have been in the past.
Is he a bigot thru and thru or does he offer help up to minorities who
need it. Let his actions speak as loud as his words. Do not judge
him by a 5 seconds worth of microphone time. What is in his heart I
wonder. I don't think he is a bigot.

The revs Jackson and Sharpton I'm sure are going to have a field day
with this and try and strong arm Imus and his producers and network
and so forth What a nice pair of nappy headed black turds those two
make. Totally disgusting pieces off **** - the both of them. I'd like
to meet them both in a dark ally some night. I'd show them some
justice at the business end of a Louisville slugger. They both
deserve to die.

As far as the gun thing goes isn't a Remington 1100 a shotgun
autoloader? I recall buying a 700BDL bolt when I went to hunt in PA
cause they don't like autoloaders in PA.

Rosie O' Fat should have been fired long ago.

That's a Good One! in 1973 when Lily Tomlin was on the Johnny Carson
show and she asked Johnny,,,, Who has custody of yours?

Image? Ah, you're one of THOSE hunters then. The 2nd Ammendment covers all
gun owners, not just elitest, no wood, no good types.

Broadcast radio is first a business and if the principal sources of
revenue are walking out the door because of one out-of-control mike
jockey, then the jockey will be gone in short order.

I wonder what his actions towards minorities have been in the past.

He actually had an interesting program at one time. Coarse, but
interesting beccause he dug into political situations and was popular
enough to attract some big names. He's pretty much turn into another
loudmouth.

Sharpton I think is little more than a thug behind clerical robes.
Jackson, is much more classy.

Image is very important and the sooner the gun collectors, shooters
and hunters realize that the better their position will be. They come
across as reacting to situations rather than htinking them through.
The writer of that article had the guts to say what a lot of other
people feel and he paid the unfortunate price.

www.devilfinder.com Don Imus Boy's Ranch New Mexico

I wouldn't say Don Imus is bigoted.A lot of times when I drive to the
food store or wherever, there are people who are playing that rap crap on
their radios and they have that rap crap turned up as loud as it will
go.I find that rap crap very disgusting. Why is it that some people can
put out that rap crap and they get away with it scot free?

Yes the 1100 is an autoloader, just like an AR15. The only real difference
is cosmetic.

Image is very important and the sooner the gun collectors, shooters
and hunters realize that the better their position will be. They come

Yes image is important. But it is just as easy to be a slob hunter with a
700BDL(great gun, I have one) than it is using an AR15. Pretty much the only
people using AR type rifles for hunting are varmint hunters. Many, many
hunters also own so-called "assault rifles".

It's not if he will be fired but when. Don Bigmouth Imus is seeing
advertisers pull their business from his show. He is now on 2 week
leave from the show which will hopefully be extended in perpetuity.

Don is apparently going to meet with the players for them to present
their side of the story. No press allowed inside, but I'm sure the
gory details willl be leaked from both sides.

Imus made an intemperate remark about a very sensitive group and will
