In 2006 Irving was sentenced to three years in prison for denying the "holocaust" in a speech he gave in Austria 13 years earlier in 1989. Ponder that for a moment; thrown in prison for saying something 13 years earlier. Wow.
If he did less than the three years he was sentenced he is no less a hero.

Don't know what your point is about him being only seven years old and England not invaded etc. is. None is germane to his credentials as a historian. Historians study the past by sifting through archives of documents and he travels world wide doing just that.

And no Irving is anything but a joker. He is a serious scholar who actually does legitimate research. The CONformist historians (emphasis properly placed on the CON as in CON artists) are the jokers.
