The probability that some shenanigans were
taking place would not suprise me in the
very least Lee. I have heard at many a hamfest
that "so and so dealer(s)" who used to show up
at *every* ham flea market East of the Mississippi
are now selling on e-Bay amongst a 'syndicate'
of dealers who have multiple e-Bay accounts
and routinely shill-up the price of each others
respective auction(s).

(....of course Lee, I would NEVER believe that
small groups of former 'gypsy' hamfest radio
dealers would engage in anything (alleged) like this! )

Maybe the title of this thread should have been "More Stupid People Who
Haven't Got A Clue About What They Are Buying Are Over-Bidding Yet Again On
E-Bay" which would better reflect what is happening here.....I don't think
it is a shenanigan at all. That would indicate to me another scam or fraud
scheme.
