"SunLight Bulb" Saves the Planet and your Eyes and reduces Radio Noise generated by most CF Lights ![]() . Try one of the newer Compact Fluoreescent (CF) Bulbs from Lights-of-America that uses FluoreX Technology. These are be sold as "SunLight Bulb" (Sky Blue Label) and are rated at 135 Light Output 2000 Lumens with only a 30 Watt Energy Use and a 6000 Hour Life. The Model No.2830 S with a Color Temperture or 6500K (Cool White) . Claims are : Natural Spectrum Light; Provides Soothing Glare Free Light; Enjoy Natural DayLight Indoors; Natural DayLight has an overall positive effect on Health, Mood, and Appearance while reducing any Eye Strain. www.lightsofamerica.com . So these newer "CF" Bulbs seem to offer several Pluses over the older "CF" Bulbs and original Incandescent Bulbs: + More Rated Output (35%) then the original Bulb. + Less Power Used (30%) then the original Bulb. + Better Sun Light Color Rendition then the original Bulb. + Less RF Radio Noise then older CF Bulbs. [ Better for your Radios and Radio Reception ] . Available at Wal-Mart Stores for about $8+ . yes once again - more than you wanted to know ~ RHF . . . . . Interesting. I swapped out the flouresents from my radio room to halogens but still get a bit of a hum. Might have to give these a whirl. |

I use them GE Real 60 (60 watt) light bulbs except in my bathroom and
kitchen where I use screw in flourescent light bulbs which I leave turned on all the time.I don't use flourescent light bulbs in my living room because they interfere with my computer equipment and my webtv equipment too much.I dont use them in my dining room either because my dining room is next to my living room.Mostly,I prefer the old style light bulbs.I am just too old fashioned,I reckon.I dont care anything about keeping up with the Jonesies,S...w them! cuhulin |

Good-gravy, I was fairly confident that you would have stumbled across something better than that to plagiarize. Apparently, I was wrong and you're too pathetic to even steal a good retort! That's rather sad, actually... -=jd=- Do as I say, not as I do? |

Direct (Screw-In) Halogen Bulbs should be as RF Quiet as the older 'standard' Incandescent Bulbs. Some Halogen Desk Lighting Systems use a Transformer Yes mine are in a fixture and I would imagine there's some kind of transformer in there. A ''halogen'' bulb is simply an incandescent with gas, rather than a vacuum, inside the bulb. It still uses 90% of the energy going into it to produce heat, rather than visible light. $8 a bulb is way too high for a CF. Try the 5-packs at Home Depot. It definetily kicks out the heat, especially when its cranked up to 300W. Would come in handy in the winter. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract |
