As webmaster of the Interval Signals Archive, I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this matter - RealAudio or MP3. If you are looking for the smallest file size with the best quality, go Vorbis .ogg format. Supported by everything, easily streamed with ICEcast (an open-source, freeware ShoutCast).
