I live forty miles East of Vicksburg,Mississippi. Those little five and
six transistor shirt pocket size AM/MW band radios, back in the 1950's it
was normal at night times to pick up radio stations in New York
City,Minneapolis,Chicago,Detroit,Denver,Cincinatti ,once in a while
California and that station way out in West Texas that isn't there
anymore,(Del Rio,Texas,I think that's it) and quite a few other long
distance AM/MW radio stations too.
