Even if Len does someday get a license, he will still be a newcomer to amateur radio. A neophyte, a tyro, newbie, novice, etc. Then it will be up to us to Elmer him, both by advice and example. For example, simply getting the license is the first step. What rig should he buy for CASH? What antenna? Power supply? Accessories? Should he attempt to build any of it? What about mobile operation?
