Michael 'I sure got a problem' Bryant wrote: From: N8KDV Michael 'I'm blind, I'm stupid, I lied about a PhD' Bryant wrote: From: N8KDV Even Al, when defending Bush, thought that Bush had assumed that the US was a majority white nation. Here's the quote, again. Read real carefully, Stevie; "There's a lot of people in the world who don't believe that people whose skin color may not be the same as ours can be free and self-govern. I reject that. I reject that strongly. I believe that people who practice the Muslim faith can self-govern. I believe that people whose skins aren't necessarily a different color than white can self-govern." Ours = white. Can you read that well, Steve? Where does he say White Nation oh eyesight challenged one? try again, Steve! Can't back up your fabrication can you Fat Boy? Read, Mr. comprehension-challenged. Ours = white. Still can't back up your fabrication can you? You're still making things up. |

"Michael Bryant" wrote in message ... Here is a quotation from GWBush this last Friday in the Rose Garden. I'm not sure why it hasn't received more play: "There's a lot of people in the world who don't believe that people whose skin color may not be the same as ours can be free and self-govern. I reject that. I reject that strongly. I believe that people who practice the Muslim faith can self-govern. I believe that people whose skins aren't necessarily a different color than white can self-govern." The racism here is not subtle. In my mind, it portrays how the President sees the world. IMO, it's beyond subtle. The characterization in you header goes past what was actually said. That's apparent from the face of the remarks. I guess you're entitled to spin it the way you have, but the fact that you need to deviate from the actual words themselves to read something into the remark indicates that saying that the racism is "not subtle" is a big stretch. |

I suppose it depends what you're looking for. It's a safe bet that phrase wasn't crafted by a professional writer, but I'd think you'd agree with him. What he said boils down to "those who feel non whites are incapable of governing themselves are wrong." |

Michael 'I'm just plain fat assed and stupid' Bryant wrote: From: "Mark S. Holden" It's a safe bet that phrase wasn't crafted by a professional writer, but I'd think you'd agree with him. What he said boils down to "those who feel non whites are incapable of governing themselves are wrong." And I think both of us agree with that sentiment despite some of the right-wing anti-Muslim bigotry spewed in this NG. I still think the President is clealy showing that, in his mind, he characterizes the US as a white nation. But that is not what he said is it Fat Boy? That's just another fabrication on your part is it not? |
