What kind of stuff do you fix? Electrical, electronics, hydraulics, acoustical matters, equipment installations and/or upgrades for much of what a typical private family or light commercial boat requires. I've even accomplished complex work for the Alaska State Ferry System. Yes, I have my own tools, training and personal expertise in those categories. My shop also has machining and welding as well as some limited sheet-metal fabrication capabilities, and I can run AutoCad in my spare time. I'm not claiming to be the top alpha dog or wizard in all things boat/ yacht related, but then I'm not half the cost of what most others get to charge, in fact some well known shipyards have charged their clients more than ten times what I would have charged to accomplished the same or better work (especially spendy when there's no paper trails associated). * Most commercial sports and other forms of spendy entertainment or optional spendy and often risky forms of personal recreation I think should be taxed 100%, so that the other 99.9% of us can afford to have safe and reasonably affordable fun. So you are in favor of taxing fishing and going to strip clubs? Anything in personal excess that's 4X more spendy than WalMart outfitting or whatever similar indulgence or entertainment disparity, you bet. I know of tax avoidance (meaning offshore registered or corporate overhead deducted) yacht-owners that essentially own and operate their $10+ million dollar boats for their fishing. Each and every pound of their tax-avoidance fish is costing us over $1000. (FYI Both of those recreational activities are already taxed) Why should 99.9% of us have to pay for whatever the 0.1% get to do and get in trouble while doing it? Like what? Like read or watch the news, or pay attention to those emergency services that are mostly public funded, not to mention various legal and insurance fees that we all get to pay at least quadruple for. Obviously you never give an honest tinker damn about others outside of your upper most 0.1%, as having any spare cash or time for fun. Hey.... Strippers got to make a living too! Fine and dandy, then by all means charge those watching and especially those touching, with a 100% tax. http://www.wanttoknow.info/ http://translate.google.com/# Brad Guth, Brad_Guth, Brad.Guth, BradGuth, BG / “Guth Usenet” |

I dont know, I looked it up and couldn't find anything political from anyone named that, just some circuit designer and some guy raving about atomic spaceships. I would guess he's the one Brad keeps going on about, but I don't see anything from him as crazy as Guthballian Venus, so maybe that's wrong. Atomic spaceships sounds like one of guballs previous net incarnations |
