When witnessing the wonders I can find in nature, even in
my own backyard, I have to ask myself how anyone can
make such a leap of faith.

As I pointed out to a relative who claimed to be an Atheist (this was
years ago; he's managed to recover of late)....

"If you (an unbeliver) are right and I (a beliver) am wrong, you've got
nothing to lose by believing."

However, if I (a beliver) am right and you (an unbeliever) am wrong,
you've got EVERYTHING to lose by not believing."

I often think about the Ten Commandments monuments being torn
down by unbelievers. If we struck the first one (I the Lord am your
God, you will have no other gods before me), *just which one* of
those commandments do folks find objectionable? Thou shalt not
kill? Thou shalt not covet?

I don't believe a monument hurts anyone - not even a monument to
Islam, Buddhism, etc. etc.

I wake up some mornings and wonder what will become of us as a
nation, but I've still got hope.
